DBF Invitation to an event with ”Beer and Cheese” on May 8^th 2025 from 16:45 to 19:00 - partners that make the Angels Sing !

It is time to stop the idea, that serving wine and beer is in any way better than serving beer and cheese – there exist a huge potential in matching cheese from the local dairy with beer from the local brewery.  

In parallel with the Danish Beer Revolution the Danish Dairies have come a long way,  when it comes to creating innovative and extremely well tasting high – quality products.  With the revolution that our cheese culture has experienced in the last 20 years a whole new Universe of possible flavor combinations has become created.

Our brewmaster colleague Anders Kissmeyer has, based on his Masterclass developed for the Foodtech – Exhibition in Herning last October gathered a competent panel of experts and together with the expert team selected a range of pairings of very different cheeses and corresponding beers:

Peder Zacho Hansen from Ebeltoft Farmbrewery, Bjarke Bundgaard from Carlsberg / Jacobsen, Rasmus Holmgård from Ost & Ko,  independent cheeseexpert – and communicator along with Chef Nikolaj
Kissmeyer, deputy at Restaurant Palægade, will all present and communicate the pairings for you as a tribute to the fine craftmanship.  They will demonstrate, that it is not hard to find a beer perfect for cheese, which create unparalleled complexity and gastronomic quality in the pairing.

This DBF event takes place in Madklubben / Jacobsen Thursday 8^th May at 16:45 to 19:00.
We plan to serve 6 cheeses, each with two different beers.
